ACOM 2S1 Automatic Two Transceiver Commutators are transmit/receive switches that allow two transceivers to use a common load, which can be either an amplifier or an antenna. These devices guard each transceiver's input while the other transceiver transmits, they prevent simultaneous transmissions and they allow simultaneous reception.
Especially useful for SO2R operations, ACOM 2S1 Commutators are specifically designed to work in unison with the ACOM 2000A automatic HF Linear Amplifier. Nevertheless, they may be used to commutate a multi-band antenna, or may be adapted for other systems, too. Operation of 2S1 switches can be fully automatic with full break-in (QSK) mode standard. Built-in protection grounds one transceiver RF input while the other transceiver transmits. Simultaneous transmission is prevented while T/R sequencing and RF relay contacts are electronically monitored continuously.
