VU Meter Legatus®

Legatus^® (User Manual) is a high quality 16 segments per channel VU meter kit based on Programmable Integral Circuit PIC16F887 made by Microchip. Legatus^® is designed to be used with a preamplifier or a headphone amplifier, although with attenuator resitors it also could be used with a power amplifier. Legatus^® requires about 20 mVolt in amplitude of a signal to activate each of the LCD's 16 segments. Activation of all 16 segments ("a full scale deflection") requires a signal with amplitude of about 320 mVolt. VU meter kit Legatus^® has eight different bar configuration settings that could be changed with a push button.
